Everything you want to know before your first session — or your hundredth.
Getting Started
We recommend starting with a consultation. Our clinicians will review your health history, goals, and current status — then recommend a Recovery Stack™ or custom protocol tailored to you.
No referral is needed. OutRecover is a wellness facility, and most of our services are available without a physician referral. Some clients coordinate with their doctors for post-surgical protocols — we welcome that collaboration.
Session lengths vary by modality — from 9 minutes (CAROL AI Bike) to 90 minutes (HBOT). Your clinician will help you plan sessions that fit your schedule and maximize the protocol.
Comfortable athletic wear works for most modalities. For HBOT, we provide approved garments. For the cold plunge, bring a swimsuit or compression shorts. Towels and basic amenities are provided.
Recovery Stacking™
Recovery Stacking™ is our methodology for combining multiple therapeutic modalities in a strategic sequence. Rather than treating each therapy as isolated, we design protocols where therapies amplify each other's effects by targeting the same biological outcome from different angles. We currently offer 17 Recovery Stacks built from 18 modalities.
A Recovery Stack™ is a clinician-designed protocol with specific timing, sequencing, and dosing drawn from our 18 modalities. Choosing modalities randomly without understanding their interactions can lead to suboptimal results — or even counterproductive combinations.
We offer 17 Recovery Stacks, each targeting a specific recovery goal — from post-surgical rehabilitation and pain management to athletic performance and stress resilience. Your clinician will recommend the stacks best suited to your needs.
Yes, with guidance. Our clinicians can help you build a custom protocol that draws from multiple stacks if your needs overlap. This is common for clients with complex or multi-system goals.
Safety & Contraindications
Yes — all modalities we offer have established safety profiles. Each therapy comes with specific contraindications that our intake process screens for. We conduct thorough assessments before recommending any protocol.
Many of our clients have health conditions that are precisely why they're here. However, some conditions are contraindicated for specific modalities (e.g., untreated pneumothorax for HBOT, pacemakers for PEMF). We review this during intake and work with your care team when needed.
Yes. All sessions are overseen by trained staff. Certain modalities (HBOT, adaptive contrast oxygen training, CAROL) are directly monitored. We're present for your entire visit.
Memberships & Billing
Monthly sessions can be applied to any modality in our facility. Your clinician helps you plan how to allocate them across your protocol for maximum effect.
